Michael Caneff is an aerospace engineering master’s student at Sofia University with a focus on Earth Observation systems and geospatial intelligence. His academic and project work centers on hazard intelligence for extreme weather and avalanches.
Alongside his studies, he led the team that won the European-level CASSINI Space Hackathon 2025, developing a space-based solution for avalanche risk mapping. Work he is now actively building into a startup.
